SpainStarter is an independent, start-here travel guide for visitors to Spain, written especially with first-time and rail-focused travellers in mind. We publish destination guides, practical how-tos, sample itineraries, an 8,131-municipality directory, and 15 free interactive planning tools in Euros (€). The site is free to use and is supported by display advertising.
How we research
- We base practical information on primary Spanish sources — Turespaña (Spain.info), Renfe, Adif, Aena, Patrimonio Nacional, Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife, the Spanish Tax Agency (Agencia Tributaria DIVA), and the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) / GeoNames registry — and link directly to official portals so you can verify details yourself.
